CROSS STITCH FINISHING SERVICE
Starry Nights Studio offers a limited variety of cross stitch finishing options for stitchers.
Please note that no "soft" finishes (i.e., pillows, drums, stockings, etc.) are available at this time.
All are finished on acid-free board, padded with interface and finished with fabric, trims and embellishments.
Please do not send your stitched pieces until you receive a confirmation e-mail from me. Depending on the time of the year, the finishing request, and my workload, I may deny requests.
GENERAL TURNAROUND TIME IS 6 WEEKS AFTER PIECE(S) ARRIVE AT MY STUDIO.
IF YOU ARE SENDING MORE THAN FIVE (5) PIECES AT ONE TIME, AN EXTRA 1-2 WEEKS MAY BE REQUIRED.

FABRIC FLATS
"Fabric Flats" are made with the stitched piece on the front and coordinating fabric on the back.
They can be used as shelf-sitters, dough-bowl fillers, ornaments, or can be attached to your own home decor pieces.
*Available with or without a bow and/or hanger.*
Prices start at $18 and vary based on the size of the stitching.

FABRIC "FANCY" FLATS
"Fabric Fancy Flats" are made with coordinating fabric alongside the stitched piece, seamed together with trim.
*Available with or without a bow and/or hanger.*
They can be used as shelf-sitters, dough-bowl fillers, ornaments, or can be attached to your own home decor pieces.
**When ordering, please indicate where you would like the coordinating fabric in relation to the stitched piece.**
Prices start at $20 and vary based on the size of the stitching.

FABRIC MOUNTED FLATS
"Fabric Mounted Flats" are "flats" that have been mounted on top of coordinating fabric so that the coordinating fabric is shown around all sides of the stitched piece.
*Available with or without a bow and/or hanger.*
They can be used as shelf-sitters, dough-bowl fillers, ornaments, or can be attached to your own home decor pieces.
Prices start at $22 and vary based on the size of the stitching.

FABRIC EASELS
AVAILABLE BASIC OR MOUNTED
"Fabric Easels" are flats or mounted flats constructed in a tent-like design. They can be used as stand-alone decor pieces or shelf-sitters.
Their fold-up design makes them convenient to display and store.
*Basic fabric easels have only the stitched piece shown from the front. Mounted fabric easels have coordinating fabric around all sides of the stitched piece shown from the front.*

WOOD ORNAMENTS / PLAQUES
AVAILABLE BASIC OR MOUNTED
These are wood cutouts painted white and sanded at the edges to create a weathered look. The wood is .25" thick and will not stand up on its own. These finishes are made to be propped up in shelves and hutches, placed in easels, or hung up.
*Basic wood ornaments/plaques have only the stitched piece on top of the wood. Mounted wood ornaments/plaques have a layer of coordinating fabric between the stitched piece and the wood.*

WOOD EASELS
AVAILABLE BASIC OR MOUNTED
"Wood easels" are wood cutouts painted white and sanded at the edges to create a weathered look. The wood is .25" thick and stands on its own using a plastic bracket that is attached to the back of the wood blank.
*Basic wood easels will have only the stitched piece on top of the wood. Mounted wood easels will have a layer of coordinating fabric between the stitched piece and the wood.*

WOOD TAGS
AVAILABLE BASIC OR MOUNTED
"Wood tags" are wood cutouts painted white and sanded at the edges to create a weathered look. Each tag is 4.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall (including peak). The wood is .25" thick and hangs from twine although these tags look just as cute propped up in tiered trays.
*Stitched piece should be 4 x 4 or less!*
*Basic wood tags will have only the stitched piece on top of the wood. Mounted wood tags will have a layer of coordinating fabric between the stitched piece and the wood.*

TIERED TRAY STAND-UPS
AVAILABLE BASIC OR MOUNTED
"Tiered Tray Stand-ups" are wood cutouts painted white and sanded at the edges to create a weathered look. The wood is .25" thick and stands on its own using a small angled block that is attached to the back of the wood blank. They are small in size (max 20 square inches) and are perfect for showcasing small stitches in your tiered tray vignettes.
*Basic tiered tray stand-ups will have only the stitched piece on top of the wood. Mounted tiered tray stand-ups will have a layer of coordinating fabric between the stitched piece and the wood.*

GALVANIZED TARTS
AVAILABLE BASIC OR MOUNTED
"Tarts" are galvanized, bottle-cap style tins that hang from twine. They come two sizes: small (5.5 inches) and large (6.5 inches).
Small size: Stitched piece should be no more than 4 inches round for basic and 3 inches for mounted.
Large size: Stitched piece should be no more than 5 inches round for basic and 4 inches for mounted.

TIERED TRAY BLOCKS
"Tiered tray blocks" are blocks of wood that have been painted (white, black or red) and have fabric mats on the front and back so that they look pretty on all sides when placed on a tiered tray or in a hutch display.
Blocks come in sizes 4x4, 4x5 and 5x5 only. Your stitched piece will need to be smaller than those measurements.

PRIMITIVE BOARDS / PADDLES
Primitive boards/paddles are wood cutouts that are hand-painted and distressed to create an old, weathered, imperfect look. Colors of boards can be guided by clients or left to the finisher's choice.
PLEASE NOTE: Primitive boards are only .25" thick. The boards are not meant to be hung by the drilled hole of the handle, but instead propped up on shelves, hutches and tiered trays.
*Basic primitive boards will have only the stitched piece on top of the wood. Mounted primitive boards will have a layer of coordinating fabric between the stitched piece and the wood.*
